Steve Levering has been a computer geek most of his life.

Like most geeks, tinkering with computers had been a hobby for Levering until 1994, when TCU hired him as a User Services Specialist. A short time later, he was promoted to User Services Consultant.

Not long after Levering joined TCU, the World Wide Web became the Next Big Thing. Steve learned HTML and created the first website for TCU User Services, along with several personal and professional sites.

In 1999, the then-Journalism Department asked Levering to teach Information Graphics as an adjunct professor. Two years later, he joined the faculty of the Schieffer School.

Steve is a music fanatic, and also enjoys cooking, biking, reading and building Legos.

Steve is a member of Kappa Tau Alpha.
