
At UT Arlington, Stewart facilitated an interview between Texas screenwriter Horton Foote and the local PBS affiliate, Channel 13. The interview ran in its entirety, one hour.
Before joining UTA, Stewart was a public relations writer at Collin College in Plano. There, he contributed to a successful bond campaign, interviewed a Nobel peace prize winner and helped create movie theater advertising, recruiting CDs and TV spots. He won several medallions for feature writing from the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations.
Prior to Collin, he spent 10 years at Tarrant County College as a writing tutor, lab manager and English instructor.
Stewart has done post-graduate work in transcendental literature, Henry David Thoreau. His master’s degree is in humanities, literature, from California State University in Carson. His undergraduate work was in English and film.
