About Samaritan House
Samaritan House, which provides service-enriched housing to 330 people who are affected by HIV/AIDS or other special needs, was founded in 1993. A second component of the Samaritan House mission is community education regarding the ongoing battle against AIDS. While improved medications have greatly extended the life expectancy of those infected with HIV, the rate of new infections has not slowed. Samaritan House aims to help people understand how they can prevent becoming infected and the services available to those who have contracted the virus.
